The No. 1 Tipp To Create Excellent Content

The most overseen fact in Internet Business, no matter if in Affiliate Marketing, Physical- or Infoproduct Marketing is this one:

Our potential client is a human being. Even if we cannot see or hear him or her: There is a human at the other side of the network on a screen looking for something. Hopefully for our product …

I say intentionally “a human” and not “thousands of humans” because it will help us with content creation, as you’ll see …

How can I direct my content to this potential customer and make it the MOST ENTICING for him / her?

Well, here is how I’m working:

1. I develop a “profile” of my potential customer.

Let’s call it the “prospect profile”.
To this end, I created a questionnary with the following points

  • Anxieties & Sticking Points
  • Wishes & Dreams
  • Daily Frustrations
  • Typical Experiences (in relation to the topic)
  • Experiences with competitor’s products
  • Respected Persons (e.g. partner, parents, teacher …)

Sounds good up to now, doesn’t it? But … Where to get all this valuable information? Here is how I do:

  • Searching on forums. This is possible for every product no matter if physical, informational or a service. There are forums for everything.
  • Analyzing feedback on my contact email

If I have an e-mail list for this project:

  • Analyzing feedback on my newsletter
  • Sending a survey to my subscribers

If I have an own product or if I am engaged to be or become a “Super-Affiliate” for some product:

  • Establish an “ask-me” e-mail where I give personal answers and analyze the questions
  • Give a free mini-coaching on the subject (15 min at the telephone via Skype). This is the most valuable thing because you have people who are REALLY INTERESTED in the subject and you can ASK YOUR QUESTIONS DIRECTLY to them.

This prospect profile steadily grows over time and gets clearer.

The main topics I will put in a mind map to make it more visual.

2. I Look up the internet for photos

What I am looking for is somebody who

  • Looks like my typical prospect
  • Looks likeable to me.

I print this photo.

3. Writing my content

When I am about writing my content, no matter if it is destinated for my newsletter, blog, sales copy or affiliate sites – I put the photo in front of me and I write to THIS PERSON.

And of course, with my prospect profile in mind.

Yes … it’s a bit of work. That’s true. But just try it in next couple of weeks. I grant you will notice the difference …

See you

Don’t worry, I am not going to sell you an eBook of that kind. Honestly:

Forget it. It’s crap.

I have a sneaky feeling like that:

A good portion of the authors of those “how to get quick rich on the internet” books are the ones who bought too much of like books themselves. Unfortunately, they did not get rich. But they invested that lot of money in books, courses or videos. And now, as they have learnt all these strategies and tactics, they want to make up for it by selling them to other people … ?

Well, there are good eBooks and courses out there, and you can learn a lot from it. But, what most of them forget to mention:

There is no such thing as an “easy way” to make money. Not even on the internet.

Before you go for the internet business, here are some things to think about:

  • Internet Marketing is not easier than any other kind of business (although it could be faster from zero to the first earned bucks)
  • Be prepared for the usual 70-hour-workweek at least for the first 12 months (maybe longer). Yes, I know … There are people out there saying that maybe 4 hours per week are enough. Well, you can try it … What I say is: Forget it, it will not work. Except you are a Genius. But even then, the business will not build itself – it requires some human work.
  • You have to have, or to develop, a strong ability to motivate yourself. Internet Marketing means often working alone – no matter if in an office or at your home. You shall be capable to motivate yourself every morning … at least.

The best way to motivate yourself is to find your passion.

Good luck

Find Your Passion

We live in interesting times with a lot of possibilities. In our highly diversified society, there was never before a bigger choice of professions, of vocations.

There is a big danger, though: The more options, more difficult it is to decide which road to take. A lot of young people are facing this issue …

And at the other hand side, there are many, many people who are doing a job which frustrates them. Day after day.

The way out here … ?

I have only a suggestion:

1. Find out what you really love.

  • What inspires you, what WOWs you and makes you satisfied? No matter if it is writing, teaching, a sport or an art, or …
  • What is easy for you?
  • What occupation would you even pay for, if you had the chance to do it all day?
  • In which area of life you challenge yourself constantly, without being forced to do so?

2. Show up doing it

  • Show other people that you are good at it
  • Help other people using your skills

3. Don’t be afraid to ask for money

  • Chances are that you are way better at something you love than other people who don’t like it!
  • Dont’ sell yourself too cheap.

Not bad … but what the heck has all this to do with Internet Marketing?

Simply, before you engage yourself in an Internet Marketing carreer, ask yourself some questions. Don’t do it for the money. Do it for other reasons, e.g.

  • I love it!
  • I am a computer maniac
  • I love the freedom to work everywhere in the world just with my laptop (and I am willing to pay the price)

Have fun
